Trails travel through eight Eastern Kentucky counties including: Montgomery, Menifee, Morgan, Bath, Rowan, Carter, Elliott, and Greenup. The I-64-US 60 trail travels from Mt. Sterling to Grayson. This primary trail intersects the three other trails, and provides an ample supply of hotels, shops, and restaurants, and also passes by the beautiful Carter Caves State Resort Park, and Grayson Lake State Park. The US 460 trail intersects with I-64 at Mt. Sterling, and winds it's way through the Red River Gorge area, and beautiful hills, and farm land. The East side of the trail intersects with the Rt.7 trail, or continues on, into the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky. The Rt.7 trail starts on the Ohio river, in Greenup Kentucky, and makes it's way South passing Greenbo and Grayson Lake State Park. As the Rt.7 trail passes through Sandy Hook. Scenic overlooks into the Laurel Gorge area are available from the road. The Rt. 32 trail snakes it's way from the Fleming county line through beautiful hillside farm country to Morehead, and into Elliott County.
